Erosion and Sediment Control Training
A construction project involving soil disturbance: the 2006 installation of stormwater treatment practices at the Hunter highway garage.Under the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation's Stormwater Permit, all construction site contractors and subcontractors must have at least one "trained individual" from their company on their construction sites on a daily basis that will be responsible for implementation of Erosion Controls and Stormwater Management. These individuals must have completed a 4 hour training class on the principles and practices of erosion and sediment control and stormwater management.
GCSWCD offers erosion and sediment control training every other year. Our last training class was on March 15, 2010. Look for another ESC training in Greene County in Spring 2012.
