Greene County Soil & Water Conservation District STREAM STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM
Schoharie Creek - East Kill Stream Management Project |
|
The Schoharie - East Kill Stream Management project is a continuation of a 10-year collaborative effort between the Greene County Soil & Water Conservation District (GCSWCD) and New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) Stream Management Program to promote sound stream management in the Catskills. Started in June 2006, the Schoharie - East Kill Stream Management Project included a detailed watershed assessment of the Schoharie Creek and East Kill, development of a comprehensive stream management plans for both streams, and implementation of one or more demonstration projects. Stream management plans have also been written for the Batavia Kill (2003) and West Kill (2005), which drain into the Schoharie Creek. Use the links in the directory to visit additional pages on the Schoharie - East Kill Watershed Project and view the stream management plans.
