Stream Management Workshops |

Since 2000, the GCSWCD has been under contract with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) for the purpose of conducting stream restoration training focused on the use of fluvial geomorphology. The District has developed a series of training modules that focus on introducing stream managers to applied fluvial geomorphology, the Rosgen Stream Classification System and the application of geomorphology based assessment methods. The Introduction to Fluvial Geomorphology and Rosgen Stream Classification sessions are typically taught at sites around NYS, while the Stream Assessment session is taught in Greene County.
