The inaugural Batavia Kill Stream Celebration was held on August 11, 2007.  Visitors from the tri-state region flocked to the event held at Country Suite Bed and Breakfast in Ashland, NY.  It was a full day of FREE family fun, entertainment and education.  Don’t miss this year’s Celebration!

Featured Activities, Interactive  Programs, and Performances

Arm-of-the-Sea Theater

For over twenty years Arm-of-the-Sea has been developing a style of magical realism that marries the mythic and the everyday, humanity and the earth, visual arts and natural science, poetry and politics.  Celebrating the Batavia Kill stream as a local asset and regional water source for New York City will be portrayed in the City That Drinks the Mountain Sky, a colorful, moving and imaginative telling of the story of New York City’s water system. Educational and entertaining for people of all ages!

Betty & the Baby Boomers

Betty & the Baby Boomers offer folk music in many forms. Their wide ranging repertoire is knitted together by outstanding harmony singing and distinctive arrangements which, while musically creative, call attention to the meanings of the songs, not just the style of presentation.   Traditional and contemporary, serious and silly, topical and whimsical…. You will not want to miss this!
